The interview process began by an email response to my application stating that I was a candidate they were interested in and offering a calendar of availability to schedule an initial interview. In that first interview it was a straightforward onboarding and confirming that my background made me a good fit for the role. I was hesitant due to the nature of NFT's and whether there was going to be stability in this market. The recruiter said I'd be a potential good fit and wanted to schedule a follow up with the Director of the department I'd be in. In the second interview I spoke with who would be my direct supervisor and it was immediately apparent that it would be an oddly handled interview. One of the first questions I was asked was whether I owned any NFTs, and was followed up by a description of a job that seemed to be asking 24/7 availability despite that not being represented in the job brief. At one point when I mentioned that part of my application process was about finding some more stability for myself the interviewer told me that this was not an industry cut out for those uncomfortable for instability. I tried to explain that I had just meant a job that offered me better benefits and a feeling of salary stability (due to this being a full-time offer + benefits). But the continued sense of judgement made me clarify, jokingly, that I just meant I wanted to be sure that the place I was committing to for a full time position was still going to be in business in the next 6 months. The interviewer proceeded to tell me that they operate like every other company in this space. They move 2 weeks at a time and only ever have their sights set on that 2 weeks at a time and can't expect anything more. Needless to say the interview ended early and I wasn't offered the position, but neither would I have accepted an offer if it had come.
