I was very underwhelmed by this process and did not feel there was much focus on candidate experience.
1) Initial recruiter screen: very basic, information gathering call. The recruiter evaded or deferred most of my questions.
2) Hiring manager interview was only 30 minutes and felt very rushed. Very robotic back and forth.
3) The next few interviews with team members were very tactical. Questions were focused on whether I’d worked with X tool or Y system, not on actual strategy, leadership, or problem solving. I was very surprised as these were senior members of the team.
In the end, the recruiter scheduled a call to let me know they were not moving forward with me in an equally impersonal, robotic manner. When prompted for any feedback, they wouldn’t share any, repeating the same generic line over and over again. I don’t understand the point of a call if you aren’t going to share actual feedback. Just send an email instead of wasting my time.
