4 Total Interviews in Feb 2014. I first spoke to Michael Wong, the CEO, over the phone to discuss my qualifications and the position etc. After the discussion I wasn't sure Genea Energy was the right place for me and I sent and email declining further pursuit of the open position but thanking Michael for his consideration. Michael then called me and begged me to come in to discuss the company in an effort to persuade me that this was a good company to work for. I agreed and met in person with Michael to discuss the company, their product and the future path of the company. Everything seemed to go well, I was feeling a bit better about the position and he invited me back for a third interview with Michal Pasula, their Chief Financial Officer. We spoke for an hour or two and again everything seemed to go really well. They also wanted me to speak with Keith Voysey, their founder and CTO. Yes, this was the 4th interview; very cautious company I suppose. They only had 7 or 8 people working for them and I think at this point I met everyone except for Keith. Keith works remotely so I had to have a phone conversation with him. A few days later we had a phone conversation and again everything seemed to go pretty well. The only thing I picked up on was that Keith seemed to want to let go of all technical responsibility to the new person coming in. I was honest up front and explained that it is difficult for someone to come in new and just take everything over and would always appreciate having him as a resource both technical and supportive. I am not sure exactly what happened after this. I never heard back from the company. They told me that Michael Wong would get back to me but that he was on vacation for a week. I told them that I was going to be out of town on business the following week as well but was excited to hear back. When I returned from my business travels, I left a VM for Michael asking for status. He did not return my call. About 3 months later I saw the same position posted online again. I again reached out to Michael via email. I assumed I didn't get the job but I just wanted closure and valuable feedback on what I may have said or done wrong. None was provided to me, still ignored. If you like wasting numerous hours of your time interviewing and never hearing back, this is the place for you. Good Luck!
