I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Genentech in Jun 2011
Interview
Phone interview with hiring manager then brought in for 1 on 1 interviews with about 8 other people. Long day. People were all very nice but i got the feeling they were willing to hire a less experienced person so they would stay in the same position for a long time.
Well organized, standard behavioral questions. Good communication. Multiple rounds of interviews with no more than 2-3 people in each. The whole process took a few months. They were accommodating of schedules.
