The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at General Assembly (Sharon, MA) in Feb 2018
Interview
Process took 5 weeks and consisted of 4 interviews. 3 interviews with the manager, 1 with the Regional Director and 1 with 2 other leadership positions. There was also a group presentation with 5 members of the leadership team as mock students.
The first three interviews seemed normal. They actually ran long which I thought was a good thing. The last set of interviews was weird. One interviewer didn’t show. They other person explained that he was “putting out fires”. The interviewer then went on for 25 minutes about have “things were crazy at GA” and she rises above the chaos. She was very aggressive, but I didn’t think too much about it because she wasn’t from the department I was interviewing for.
It was explained to me that things move very slow at GA and I should reach out if I didn’t hear back. I sent a polite email after not hearing anything for a week. Three days later I received an email saying another candidate was selected.
The interviewer did a good job of leading me to believe I would be selected for this position so it has left me with a lot of distrust towards General Assembly.
