I sent over a cover letter and resume to HR stating my interest in working over the summer, fall, and then potentially starting full time, as an engineer, after I graduated in the Fall. I was asked to interview for a position and accepted. I came and was introduced to the engineering team and hit it off great- we were all laughing and joking. Then, HR cut things short by interrupting everyone and telling them I am only currently looking for part time position now and full time work after I graduate in the Fall...exactly what the cover letter statesld as well as my resume. HR essentially kicked me out of the interview...because they didn't read my cover letter or resume. It was pretty embarrassing and shows a lot about their HR department.
