Interview
I applied through my university's career fair. Took about two weeks two get the first interview. It was also a virtual interview using a software called hirevue which is similar to Skype.
I applied through college or university. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at General Motors (GM) in Sep 2015
Interview
I attended an information session at my university for General Motors. The next day, I spoke with the recruiters again at the career fair and gave them my resume. A couple of weeks later, I got an email about setting up an interview. My first interview was via webcam where I was asked behavioral questions. The recruiter was very nice and encouraging through the whole experience (it helped that I already kind of knew him from the information session and career fair). He invited me to another information session that next week when they were back on campus. I attended that and got an offer for a second interview (via email). The second interview was a little bit harder and it was strange because the interviewer was critiquing my answers as I said them. I left feeling like I didn't do well. 3 months went by before I hear anything. I got a call from the recruiter telling me that I got the job but that I wouldn't start for another 6 months and it would be in a different city than what I had originally applied for. However, once I received my "official offer" email, the offer was too good to decline.
