      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Genpact in Jan 2022

      Interview

Initially a recruiter contacted me immediately after I had submitted an application (in mid January). The job has been posted since October (so four months), which I found a bit odd in this market, but possibly the parameters of the role changed. There was a phone screen with the recruiter. I then had an interview with the hiring VP, and another interview with a person who would be on the team this role would lead. Both of these meetings went very well and the role seemed very aligned with my skills. The hiring manager had indicated next steps would be to meet with some of their peers. These all happened within a week or so. Then.... Crickets. The recruiter kept telling me that the hiring team was still considering next steps. A month later - still no update. I've since moved on and accepted another offer. This position is STILL (in mid-March) being advertised as "open" on LinkedIn. It seems like the team cannot decide, despite no doubt seeing many qualified candidates, which is a red flag for me,
