Responded to and on-campus ad for an opening in GeoDigital's photogrammetry department. Had a phone interview about a week later in which I described my experience working with ariel photography and image processing. The interviewer gave overview of the company and position. He asked very few questions, but the ones he did ask were straight forward. Describe your experience, goals, etc. The question of salary did come up. The pay, I later learned in an in-person interview, typically starts at $13-$14.50/ hour. However, depending on experience you can negotiate, of course. I asked for $16/hour. GeoDigital has a lot of work to complete over the next 3 years or so, mapping power lines via LiDar and seemed desperate for people. If you are interested in the technical side of ariel photography and have experience doing so, the interview should be a cinch. Seems like a good company with room for advancement.
