I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at GeoSpace Technologies (Houston, TX)
Interview
Interviewed on their website and heard back about two or three weeks later. The hiring manager called me directly for a brief phone screening. Then later that night, he texted me if I could come to the office. I went to their office the day after the following day. I spoke with the CTO, the hiring manager, and a couple of people on the team. It felt like a very improvised day. Then the hiring manager took me on a brief factory tour. I was very impressed with the capabilities of the company. The hiring manager again texted me that evening asked if we could do a brief phone call. I called them back the next day and that was when he told me that they were going to extend an offer to me.
The entire interviewing process was very informal and I was surprised they didn't ask me anything technical, which isn't a bad thing; I overprepared myself and that's their way of hiring.
They went a little higher than the salary expectations that I gave them and I accepted the offer.
