I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Geode Health (Chicago, IL) in Sep 2025
Interview
A pretty standard screening interview with recruitment staff. Asked questions I would expect being asked of any therapist, experienced or coming out of grad school and clinical training. They were upfront a out their workload expectations, which I think helps them determine who to filter out of their hiring pipeline. 35 clients a week plus extra scheduled to cover cancelations is a lot of clients when you add in not only your administrative time to complete paperwork but also time to be sufficiently prepared to do your clinical work with people. There are a great number of times as a clinician that in order to deliver quality care you need to prepare outside of your sessions, and my concern is that startups like this creeping into the clinical space are not concerned about this as the financial bottom line is the main priority. As part of my interview preparation I looked at information about the company that has nothing to do with the clinical work--a great number of the reviews I see here look to be astroturfed, which is a large concern for me for a company operating in a space using clinicians who are expected to follow stringent ethical codes. Remeber, it's their company. It's your license.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Geode Health in Apr 2025
Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter for this open position. The interview process went pretty quick and smooth. However after the final interview when I reached out about some HR questions I did not hear back at all. Before this the responses to e-mails were within a few hours to a few days. I reached out after two weeks to follow-up about the hiring process and did not hear back at all. So I guess I was ghosted.
