Contacted for a phone screen. Talent was late and didn’t seem to be aware of any competition in the market (my employers) and made comp conversation awkward - said they didn’t know yet what they were going to allocate. When I gave a number they didn’t know what total comp entailed or scoffed at that range. If you have one in mind I’d suggest leading with it or being salary transparent. It would save others time. Overall felt like it spoke to the dysfunction of the org. There are a lot of mental health digital health and virtual care delivery companies out there. This one didn’t feel fully baked and even felt ignorant to think they might be one of the few. In any case those small snafus didn’t deter me - felt like I was still interested in getting to know the actual people I’d work closely with. Sent my thank you along and called out things I appreciated about our convo…. and was ghosted.
