I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at George Washington University in May 2014
Interview
After submitting my resume, I was called two days later to come in for an interview. I was explained how the temp program worked and then asked a series of questions about my resume. They mainly wanted you to explain in detail the tasks that you have done in previous jobs. I was asked about different skills that I had, if I was familiar with certain software programs, and what types of positions I was interested in. Be prepared to give a salary range requirement. A few days later I was offered an interview for an open temp position. I interviewed with the supervisor and received an offer on the spot.

Interview
This is for the Colonial Temps program. The process involves you speaking with university HR department staff who tells you about the program and ask you about your employment experience. The Colonial Temps program is simply a temp agency/staffing agency operation. All of the jobs are only in office administration and are strictly temp jobs. The temp jobs do not lead to any permanent employment whatsoever with the university. The program requires candidates to undergo a background check and reference check. It is simply a temp agency/staffing agency and nothing. The Colonial Temps is not good for candidates who wish to pursue a career in broadcast/multi-platform journalism, television news, and/or print journalism.
