I applied for the job around the time it was posted in August, and did not hear back from someone until mid-late September. The initial phone call was a general screening and the hiring manager wanted a brief summary of my resume and how it related to the position. Also, she let me know that they'd already contacted my references are were interested in interviewing me. I did not get a date for interviews for another week, however. The interview lasted approximately an hour with three interviewers from the department. It was very straightforward, and there was a set list of questions in addition to clarification and followup questions to my answers. The interview was relaxed and conversational, which put me as an interviewer at ease. Following the interview, I followed up with the hiring manager after a week and half of no word. I was informed that there were scheduling changes and I would be told soon. Approximately two weeks after the interview I was offered the job.

I had a personal referral and I applied online through their portal. Two weeks later I had a face-to-face interview. I heard back a week later. I had a panel interview and the panel never really asked me about my previous experience and how that would fit into the role I was interviewing for--which threw me off. They talked a lot about what they wanted in the role and their expectations and I never really got to fully "sell myself" as a candidate.
