This 30-minute interview (comm. specialist) was a truly bizarre experience ... a shame, since I have a prime engineering/technical communications background and was eager to work for the company. The interviewer (my potential mgr.) seemed very friendly and chatty, but as time went by, he seemed determined to be critical and difficult at every turn. I've never had this type of interview before. Plus he kept telling me what a great "heart-centered" person he was. After the first five or 10 minutes or so, I should have politely declined to continue the interview and left, but was blindsided by the onslaught, which included him talking about a former report. Other than him, though, people seemed pretty focused and curious/friendly--a typical engineering environment, which I generally like.
