I was asked to explain my interest in the specific focus area for the department that was hiring, including academic experience and personal background relating to the area. Overall the interview was pretty straight-forward. It included the typical questions of what I hoped to do professionally after graduation and how I thought interning at GMF would help my career. I was also warned that the internship included a lot of basic office/administrative tasks, not only research and writing.
