Long, unfocused, frustrating. A total of 6 interviews, 1 presentation, 1 work assignment.
The work assignment was 4 long form answers, and 5 questions related to performing a prototypical data analysis on data they gave you. It was stated to take no longer than one hour. However, one of the long form questions was "read this 15 page academic paper and critique their methodology". Another was "describe how you calculate the reproduction number of COVID in Brazil?" You expect me to give thoughtful, worthwhile answers to 4 questions like that, on top of a full data analysis project, in one hour? Beyond that, the data analysis was over a set of variables clearly generated from uniform random noise, so it was a total waste of time.
I received no feedback after any interaction, and they consistently left more than two weeks in between interactions. They then pretended that their emails weren't going through and instead called me in a panic to act as if it was my fault they had forgot. Truly an unprofessional organization. The Concentric team specifically seemed very cliquey and hesitant to welcome new people onto the team.
All in all, a frustrating interview experience, an unprofessional team, and all for a relatively low salary. I took the interview just to get a sense of what they pay to report to my team, and it cost me three months of dealing with their nonsense.
