      Community Partnership Specialist Interview

      Apr 21, 2018
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Saint Paul, MN
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Girl Scouts USA (Saint Paul, MN) in Jan 2018

      Interview

Phone Interview 1 week after application submitted (HR person forgot to call at the scheduled time, so i had to call them). 2:1 person interview the following week. Then asked to attend 'trial' interview the next week where I would co-facilitate a girls group with another Community Partnership Specialist. Given outline for the group by staff a few days beforehand, then directly after trial given feedback and asked a couple of questions. Told i would find out the result the following week. Two weeks past, nothing. Contact them, advised would find out next week. Two weeks past again, nothing. Contacted alternative staff, advised that i didn't get the position but that they thought i would be a good fit and would keep my resume for future positions. Future position came up a few weeks later, applied. Two weeks later told that they had already found someone for this role, and the next role that they're also about to post. All in all, pretty average interview process with the worst HR communication i've ever experienced.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Phone: Standard... Why are you interested? What's your experience? Is X income okay? What do you know about GSRV? 2:1: What do you know about the issues facing girls from multicultural backgrounds? What's your experience in youth development work? Trial: How do you think you went? What would you have done differently with a smaller group? Is there anything else you would change about the session?
