I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at GitLab (San Diego, CA) in Jan 2019
Interview
Was sent a written assignment then passed on to a recruiter for the interview. The recruiter did not ask me any questions related to marketing or my skill-set, we got on a Zoom conference and I was asked three basic questions about where I'm from, a time I messed up and work history.
I recommend that you guys have actual people in the actual position or someone with related experience interview candidates about their actual skills and experience - not recruiters who do not work in this industry, but judge someone based off of four basic questions and how they look on Zoom.
