Interview
I applied for a job posting for a "benefit specialist" for a company that was looking to fill 4 positions to assist local employees. The way the posting was written made this sound like this was an in-house benefit advisor position.
The next day, I received an email from a recruiter at a staffing company, asking me to come in for an interview the very next day. They emphasized to dress business professional, bring a resume and something to write with a write on.
When I arrived, there were 13 people in-line waiting to be interviewed. The receptionist told everyone to fill out a clipboard. Three different people came and call each person by name and spent about 2-3 minute talking with each of us in a closed room about what we were looking for in a job, but never once mentioned what the job really was or asked us any questions. Then they walked each of us across the hall to a room to take a "personality assessment". After about 10 minutes, the agency owner came back and talked AT us for 45 minutes about Liberty National, how a career change could be the right move for us, how much money he made in such a short amount of time and how it was such a better idea than ever becoming a doctor (which wasn’t even relevant to anything). In the end, he asked if anyone had any questions, no one did. He then said he would be sending everyone 4 follow up questions after this meeting, that he would like back tonight. He would be choosing from those responses for the final interview.
What infuriated me the most is that I missed a different meeting because I thought this was an actual job interview not a sales pitch to sell insurance. That bait and switch tactic is scum and you should rise above it as a company.

Interview
I was contacted via text message which did not give the companies name. I had no idea that I was responding to Globe Life. I was set up for an interview for a position I never applied to.

Interview
Group interview that was really a presentation on why the company was so great and look at all this money you can make. Very little actual discussion of their process and how you manage to book appointments. Work/life balance is a big selling point.

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Globe Life Liberty National Division (Atlanta, GA) in Oct 2024
Interview
The interview process felt unstructured and misleading. The company operates primarily on a commission-only model, which was not clearly communicated upfront. The presentation was vague and unclear, with the presenter, who is also the company owner, arriving late due to a "phone call" while a group of 10 or more candidates waited. There were no questions asked during the interview, and I felt that my time was not respected. Overall, I found the experience to be a waste of nearly two hours.
