Everyone I met from the department was professional and seemed genuinely interested in our conversation. However, my final interview with the facility production/distribution manager felt off — most of her questions centered around why I wanted to leave my current company. Later, I learned she had a close personal relationship with someone on my management team. Shortly after that interview, my manager brought up several topics that directly reflected what I had said during the interview, which raised serious concerns about confidentiality. The next day, HR informed me I wasn’t selected. While I understand that professional networks overlap, the way this situation was handled felt inappropriate and unprofessional.
