1) phone screen with the recruiter - went well; generic
2) phone screen with the hiring manager - specific questions on my background; went well
3) final onsite interview - presented parts of my research work relevant to the role, tour of the facility, 30-minute interviews with the rest of the team. Everyone was very nice to talk to and they had a few simple questions about my resume. I had a few questions for them and everything seemed to be going well. The final 30-minute interview was with the head of the division. She never showed up. After 30 minutes of keeping me waiting, the recruiter showed up and said they will have to reschedule the final part of my interview. I agreed, thanked everyone via email, and left.
Overall, the interview process was disorganized. The room they had reserved for my interviews was somehow double-booked. They had to find another room at the last minute. The recruiter mentioned that he would send me details of the rescheduled 30-min slot in a couple of days. I checked 3 times over the next couple of weeks to find a suitable time for the last part of my interview. Never heard back from the recruiter and hiring manager. Makes me feel that they decided mid-interview that I wasn't a suitable fit but did not have the decency to complete the interview or send me a rejection email.
I had read previous reviews on glassdoor and a few people mentioned being ghosted after the interview. I was hoping the role I was interviewed for was being handled by professionals. I was probably wrong.
