HR contacted me via email to schedule an interview with one of the general managers. The initial phone conversation went very well. The next interview was with the hiring manager. The interview lasted for over an hour, and we spoke about a range of topics. A few days later, I received an email from HR asking if I would be interested in another position at Glowforge, a temporary position. I took this as an indirect way of saying that they're interested in someone else, BUT we have a temporary role available. That was unnecessary. I would have appreciated direct feedback. Why would you offer a temporary position to someone that applied for a full-time position? If you're looking for a temporary position, post it online and mark it as a temporary role. It's that simple. Not impressed with the inner workings of this company or the process. They seem to mean well, so I'll rate the overall experience as Neutral, but I will definitely not consider them ever again.
