      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Glumac in Dec 2024

      Interview

I was approached by a Glumac recruiter multiple times over the years and finally decided to go through the interview process. The initial stages went well—I had a great first-round interview with a Senior VP and an equally positive second-round interview with the department lead. After these conversations, I received a verbal job offer from HR, and we discussed pay and other details. However, later that same afternoon, I received an email scheduling yet another interview with a director. This is where things started to unravel. It became clear there was some confusion about the role I was being considered for versus my experience and career aspirations. After this third interview, I heard nothing for several days. When I followed up with HR, I was told they decided not to proceed with my candidacy. I asked for feedback and was completely ghosted. Key Takeaways for Potential Candidates: Ensure an Online Application Is Submitted Early: I went through two rounds of interviews before formally applying online. This may have contributed to the confusion regarding pay and role expectations. Starting with an online application can help alleviate these discrepancies. Clarify Pay Expectations Before Investing Time: Don’t waste your time interviewing unless there’s clear alignment on pay upfront. HR/Recruiter Quality: While Glumac emphasizes its culture, the HR/recruiter team fell short of these standards. A verbal offer that’s later retracted, combined with poor communication and feedback, reflects poorly on the company. That said, I genuinely enjoyed my conversations with the Senior VP and department lead. They were professional, knowledgeable, and engaging. I wish them and the teams at Glumac all the best.
