I was sourced by an internal recruiter, so don't know how that compares to people applying directly, I participated in a total of 5 rounds of interviews (1) recruiter screen, (2) recruiter prep, (3) hiring manager + hiring manager peer interview (4) back-to-back 5 person onsite interview (5) assignment presentation.
Ultimately, although I was the last candidate standing I didn't get the offer and they chose to pull the job posting down.
GoDaddy had recently acquired Main Street Hub and it was clear that there was a mismatch in what each group was hoping for in this position. Although from the start of the interview process I was clear about my experience both in product launch and company size, in the latter stages of interviewing it was clear many of the GoDaddy leaders had an experience profile in mind that I didn't match.
Less than 20 hours before my final interview with the Hiring Manager the recruiter remembered she had an assignment for me to complete. I wasn't given time to clarify or much direction and the Hiring Manager was looking for something outside of the assignment parameters.
While the process started out promising, in the end I am happy to not have received an offer. Months later they shut down that team and division due to Covid. I think in general the team wasn't sure what they were looking for as the feedback I got post-interview from the recruiter about my shortcomings didn't align with what the job requirements outlined.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at GoDaddy (Seattle, WA)
Interview
The strangest interview process in my life. Started normally, but ended poorly. During the in-person interview, the hiring manager entered the room, sat back in his chair and crossed his arms - very poor body language - and seemed like there were 1000 places he'd rather be. Another guy told me about how his being a Christian allowed him to get past the company's shady reputation. Not normal. And nobody was willing to share any level of contact information for follow ups (have never seen this kind of thing before).
