I was called by the recruiter within a few days of applying. It wasn't much of an interview but more so small talk and a bit about my background. Within about ten minutes, he invited me down to St. Louis for an interview. The company paid for my flight and hotel (albeit a pretty crappy one). Having been fresh out of dispatch school, the interview was pretty easy for the most part. It was one on one with a duty manager from the SOC. Mostly basic weather stuff and miscellaneous dispatch regulations all read from a script. The only question I didn't know was Exemption 3585 which the interviewer said wasn't a big deal. After the one on one, he introduced me to some people in the SOC, and I sat with a couple of dispatchers for a little bit. I had to come back a few weeks later for a drug test and fingerprinting. In this time, they also completed my background check. About a week after this second visit, I was offered the job over the phone with a start date in about two weeks.
