I applied for the Clinic Manager position at Golden Steps ABA on December 16 and was promptly invited to interview. Over the following weeks, through multiple interviews, phone calls, and emails that extended through the holidays, I was led to believe that I was a strong candidate for the leadership role.
During this time, I received several rejection letters for positions I had not recently applied for. When I followed up, I was verbally reassured that a mix-up had occurred and that my application for the Clinic Manager role was being addressed. I received no timely follow-up for several days until I was able to contact the recruiter, who confirmed my continued consideration for the position.
Ultimately, after my final follow-up, I was informed that no mix-up had occurred and that the position had already been filled. While I understand that hiring needs can change, the inconsistent explanations, lack of timely communication, and unclear updates created unnecessary confusion and false expectations.
I advise future applicants to maintain records of communication and seek clarification throughout the process, as clear communication appears to be an area for improvement at this company.
