I applied online. I interviewed at Goldman Sachs (Salt Lake City, UT) in Mar 2012
Interview
When applying online you are only able to apply for 3 positions at a time, so be strategic with where you apply and for what positions. I was contacted by phone about a month after applying, and set up an interview at my University's recruiting center. The interview was 2-on-1 and lasted 30 minutes, with time for one or two of my questions for them at the end. It started out with them simply asking me to walk them through my resume, obviously pointing out past experience that qualify you for the job. After running through that with a few short stories we moved on to the technical questions. They weren't terribly difficult, mostly hypothetical situations where I'd be asked how to evaluate company X if they asked for a $500 million loan, etc.

Question 1
You are asked to evaluate the credit risk of three companies: a high-tech firm, a pharmaceutical firm, and a major car manufacturer. How would you approach this analysis, what industry-specific factors are important to consider, and what would be your expected timeline/maturity for a loan with each firm if it passes the credit check?

Interview
My Superday consisted of three back‑to‑back 20‑minute Zoom interviews. Each interviewer was warm, direct, and focused on understanding how I think, communicate, and approach operational problems. The process was well‑organized, with clear instructions and smooth transitions between meetings. Questions centered on teamwork, ownership, process improvement, and how my past experiences prepared me for Operations. Overall, it felt structured, conversational, and professionally run.

Had inital phone call with hiring manager and was then invited in to the office for a 3 round interview. Interview with hiring manager and team member with normal competency based questions, second round with senior manager which was general conversation and talking about past experience and last interview with 4 analysts from different team talking about career. Hiring manager never came back to me with a response at all.

Interview
4 30 minute interviews back to back, never asked me if the times they selected for me were ok, just had to accept that it would be in the middle of the day.
Asked me basic questions like how do I handle difficult situations and what kind of worker I am. Super easy tbh. It’s completely a personality interview, not any questions about experience in specific concepts, for example ability to use excel.
