I applied through college or university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Goldman Sachs (Bengaluru) in May 2024
Interview
The interview process primarily focused on evaluating the candidate's understanding of core probability and statistics concepts. I was asked several questions related to basic distributions, expected values, and conditional probabilities. There was also a short case-based question that tested how well I could apply these concepts in a real-world financial context. The overall tone of the interview was conversational, and the interviewer seemed more interested in my thought process than in exact answers.

Question 1
What is the expected value of the minimum of two independent uniform(0,1) random variables?
Initial resume drop, then a call with a recruiter, then one-way interview (mine was HireVue), finally ended with a SuperDay (ie three back to back interviews ranging 30-45 mins each I think. Questions were primarily behavioral and the interviewers wanted to hear the questions candidates prepared for them.

Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They ask basic arrays, and linked list questions in DSA. Other than that they discussed my projects, there was not really much else in the interview for both the rounds. If you have a good introduction about yourself prepared, are knowledgeable about your projects and know basic DSA, you can get hired.
