The interview process started out fine, and was more deliberate vs the initial stage of most other companies. It included two interviews with the hiring manager, and then a "craft demo" that took some time to prepare. ... I was then asked to meet with the CMO the following week as a final interview. An hour before the said interview, I got a cancellation claiming that the CMO was "slammed," then a few hours later I got a new time for the following week. But then ~18 hours later, I got a call telling me they'd made an offer to someone they'd interviewed last week. Obviously, the CMO had not been not been "slammed," and it was clear someone in some part of the business was not being honest, and one is left wondering whether this was a good example of how Gong treats candidates and employees. I view this as a blessing in disguise. .
