I was contacted for a phone interview by the manager a day after leaving a voicemail. He was friendly but also businesslike and gave me the run down on what the job was (telemarketing to sell season tickets to Goodman audience members). He asked very specific questions about my work experience and availability. The call was a good 20 minutes maybe a little more. He was really thorough and clearly looking for a specific fit which impressed me because I thought most places that hire telemarketers just hire anyone who applies. At the end of the phone interview I was invited in for a face to face interview later that week which was also very thorough. 2 days after that I was called with a job offer but didn't take it because I was given a promotion at my regular full time job.
