I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Google (San Francisco, CA) in Aug 2025
Interview
It starts with a recruiter screen where they decide whether to pass you onto a hiring manager for Stage 1. If that hiring manager interview goes well you'll go into Stage 2 which is a peer interview followed by a director interview.

A company has a $300m ad budget and is spending 99% of it in traditional means like TV ads and billboards, and you want to get them to spend that 99% with Google Instead, how would you do it?
the process is very fast. i got 4 rounds of interview within 2 weeks, and got the feedback right after each round of interviews. sometimes its depends on the chemistry between you and the interviewer.
The process is really complicated, questions are really detailed. Need to prepare. Wishing you all huge success! I had 3 rounds and a prep call. Recruiters are really easy going and responsive.
Disorganized recruiting with random meeting invites with no explanations. Interviewer wasn’t welcoming at all and seemed to not care at all about the interview. The feedback call after the interview sounded like recruiter was reading an AI generating summary of the interview, which felt not personal at all. Overall awful experience.
