Phone screen with recruiting followed by conference call with hiring manager.
Once selected for an interview, very attentive process. Full day's worth of interviews, primarily with peers or collaborative partners within the team matrix. Questions varied from open, unstructured conversation to more rigid standardized inquiries. The more senior people were conversational. None of the asks were the "absurd" brain teaser questions you read about. Rather - they sought to understand how you apply your toolkit on the fly in a series of hypothetical scenarios.

Recruiter call, Interview loop: Two System design, Org/People Management, Googliness interview. All interviews were online. All the interviews were distributed within 2 days. I got the feedback quite immediately. I think in 2 days.

What is one of the challenges as an Engineering leader?
I ultimately didn't get the job, but process was fair! Interviewer was attentive and clearly wanted to know about my experience and laid out the responsibilities clearly. I've wanted to work at Google for forever, and this process definitely reaffirmed that it is the kind of place I'd want to work.
Interview consisted or remote sessions, 1 hour per session with four senior managers. Interviews were very professional, very detailed note taking. ONly sour experience, one interviewer did not show but did reschedule. Cost - 1 PTO day.
