I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Google (Chicago, IL) in Apr 2021
Interview
All calls/interviews were virtual since this is during Covid. Recruiter reached out to me March 1st. Had a first screening call with them about a week later, followed by a first informal interview with the hiring manager at the end of March. End of April, I had three formal interviews over two weeks. Then there was a week long gap, and they asked me to speak to the hiring manager's manager. Another week passed and they asked me to speak with the director of the entire team. Then they sent me to hiring committee and I received an offer the Tuesday after Memorial Day. Overall it was a very long process that seemed inefficient at times.
2 phone screens and then a loop with multiple team members and 1 partner team member. Interview covered topics like analytics, teamwork, product sense and product design. Interviewers also ask how you might challenge your own ideas. Was placed into team matching but recruiter stopped responding and was never matched with a team.
I applied online. I interviewed at Google (Atlanta, GA)
Interview
The interview scheduling was long and had multiple cancellations throughout the process, causing a delay and misalignment in expectations. The interviewer was not prepared/informed on what questions to ask which was really disappointing, especially considering company like Google.
