I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Google (Mountain View, CA) in Feb 2015
Interview
Applied online; one phone interview; invited to meet the hiring manager for an onsite interview. Met briefly with an HR assistant on campus who sat with me while we waited for the manager to arrive. The manager did not seem too interested in the process or the interview.

It was great. They free ice cream. My favorite flavor was the cookies n cream. The questions were difficult and they asked for a whiteboard session in front of a panel of four employees.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Google
Interview
I was reached out to via LinkedIn. Quickly, I passed a phone screen and was asked the same day for a second round interview.
However, scheduling with the hiring manager has been difficult with the recruiting team and frankly an annoying experience. They have moved my interview 3 times and I had to ask for the hiring manager's name as zero information has been given to me. I don't even have a link to a job description, I have gone out and found all of these things myself.
The recruiter seems to think they are above using niceties or using any other typical methods seen in courting a candidate.
Overall - a very bad experience with their recruiting team. TBD on the hiring manager. First impression is that she doesn't have any time and doesn't create the time for people who would be working for her which isn't a great sign of leadership.
No offer as I haven't completed the interviews.
