I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Google (Mountain View, CA) in Aug 2013
Interview
I was handed a page of server-side code and asked to immediately interpret it, without any context. In actual work situations, I do well at interpreting code when given a bit of context, but I stammered in front of the interviewer when this happened. My next interviewer literally said in the interview, "It's not like we're going to give you a page of code and have you interpret it on the spot!" I think I should have told her that that is what had just happened.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked me to interpret a page of code in a language for which I claimed very little proficiency.
Interview process was quick and very professional. Result declaration takes a lot of time sometimes.
Questions were mostly technical and situation based. It was a difficult round.
However, it was a great experience.
