Google User Experience Engineer interview questions

Coding inside of a Google doc. That happens at Google, and is easily the silliest interview platform of all time. This was the worst experience trying to focus on code while tab indents and auto capitalization taking place in serif font.

First had a call with the recruiter. Standard call, talked about previous experience, etc. Had a technical phone screen where I had to code in a Google doc over the phone. This was for an AR/VR role so it was in C#. After the technical screen is a take-home assignment. It's about a ~10 hour project, again related to AR/VR. I asked if a specific tech stack was okay, they said yes, but then they decided not to move forward with me because I had used that tech stack. Apparently they would've rather I had used something else, even though they had told me it was fine earlier. Felt deceptive and like a huge waste of time. They also said I could try again in 12 months but the whole process left a bad taste in my mouth. Feels like they're trying to trick you. It's also a *very* slow process; expect it to take several months. It's not worth it.
