I applied through college or university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Granite Construction in May 2009
Interview
Granite was a pleasant company to try to get on with. However, due to the economy at the time, it was hard for them to sign me on. I wish I was able to work for them, but they were not interested in my resume. Hopefully it will go better for someone else. Good luck.

In this given situation, what would your first move be?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Granite Construction
Interview
Applied online, got a call from Talent Acquisition team and he sent the resume to the team. Had a virtual interview with a Senior roll person, seemed like it went well. He said they are urgently looking for a PE. No update for weeks, don't answer the email or phone call when I reached out to the Talent Acquisition person.
Discussed my background in school with construction manager and a project manager. They asked questions regarding work ethic, problem solving skills and teamwork. They focused on how demanding the role will be in terms of hours, which I appreciated the up front approach
