I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Granite Telecommunications
Interview
Recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn and I agreed to meet that same day. We talked for 20 minutes and I was in the middle of answering a question when the call disconnected. I assumed it was a glitch so I waited a minute for him to call me back. He didn’t so I called him, but he didn’t answer. Next morning I’m going through my LinkedIn messages and see he blocked me. Very unprofessional behavior. If it’s not the right fit, I understand and don’t take it personally. My issue is that instead of telling me this, he hung up in the middle of the conversation. Horrible representation of the company, especially to potential employees. If that’s how you treat candidates, I can’t imagine how they treat employees.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We sincerely apologize for the way your interview process unfolded—this is not the candidate experience we strive to provide. We understand how frustrating and unprofessional this must have felt, and we truly regret that this happened.
This is not reflective of our company’s values or how we aim to treat our candidates. We take feedback like this seriously and will be looking into the situation internally to ensure it does not happen again. If you’re open to it, we would love the opportunity to connect and discuss this further. Please feel free to reach out to us so we can make things right.
We appreciate your interest in Granite and wish you the best in your job search.
