Extremely unprofessional and lack total decency. I applied for a position which I was more than qualified for. Recruiter and I schedule an initial interview but a day before the recruiter tells me they have a conflict and cannot make the call. I say no worries and ask about rescheduling and they never respond (obviously trying to ghost me, instead of being straight up). I reach out again and they tell me that my resume does not match (not true, they pulled requirements directly from the government job site that I work for). I move on. These things happen.
Some time passes and they reach out to me again hoping to schedule an interview for a job opportunity they think I would be a better fit for (it is the same job as before), I go ahead and move forward pushing past the weirdness of it all. We have the call and they tell me that they will reach out to schedule the next interview. They ghost me again.
I don't care about being rejected. I'm not going to land every job. It's the wasting my time and the unprofessionalism that is happening. If I am not the right fit, say so and move on.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Initial interview just asked about current standing and job description.
They were friendly, but I was bombarded with tax technical questions. I don’t feel like they made an effort to get to know me. The first 20 minutes were solely focused on tax concepts, which is understandable for a tax position. However, it’s important to strike a balance and also get to know the candidate during the initial interview round.
