      Application

The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Gravity Sketch in Apr 2023

      Interview

Applied online. Recruiter reached out and we scheduled time to connect. Gravity Sketch is still a young company, so it feels very much like just meeting people, which is a pro. A con, is that they have to be very transparent about where they are as a company and what they have organized. There were a few points in the screening call that felt like it was suggested that this is a bit of a crazy place to work. The pace is very quick. It can be a lot sometimes. Paraphrasing here but you get the idea. Met with the hiring manager, who I liked. We discussed skills and previous experience, and I asked my questions about culture and how the pandemic changed their personal POV on work and the answers were pretty nondescript. Nevertheless, I still thought we'd make a great team. Radio silence for over a week following this interview. When I reached out to ask if I was still involved in the process and that I assumed it was over unless they said otherwise, they told me I was out of the process. Details on lots of things to do, trying to do it all, etc. Not sure if this is just the recruiters daily job load or if the company overall feels this way. No hard feelings on them passing me up, but weirdly unstructured no matter the company size. Also, any indication that its crazy and there is so much going on is just a bad vibe.
