Interview process for me had four components, the final being by far the most considerable. 1. Screening call with the recruiter: Talent Acquisition manager was engaging and enthusiastic, put me at ease. This stage was very conversational and definitely not too taxing. 2. Interview with my would-be manager: Again, the Greenhouse manager was extremely personable and always interested in what I had to say. Ample opportunity to ask questions at the end. 3. Take-home project: This comprised a presentation on a product/software I find useful. I was required to create a user guide that satisfied certain provided criteria. The suggested work-load was 1-2 hours, but I designated over 6 hours to the task. 4. "On Site" virtual interview: This stage proved more arduous than the prior portions, comprising 5 different interviews/conversations with various Greenhouse employees, scheduled over 4 hours. The week before, I was sent a brief description of each what each segment would include and who I would be meeting. This included some would-be team members, staff from other departments, your would-be manager (again), and a customer scenario discussion with a Greenhouse executive. One important part was the task of presenting the user guide over Zoom, inclusive of Q&A. Another facet was a "culture-add" structured chat exploring Greenhouse's core values and my application and appreciation of the mission. Although initially this last interview stage proved daunting, and ultimately incorporated significant preparation on my end, I am extremely glad to have completed the process. The talent team were always available to answer any questions I had and repeatedly reassured me I had their support. I have benefited hugely from the experience and feel better positioned to present myself going forward, and have a better understanding of the attributes companies are looking for. As it stands I am waiting to hear if I was successful or not. I would be elated if I am made an offer, but regardless feel satisfied with the opportunity to sell myself to Greenhouse and also improve personally and professionally.
