I had a brief phone screen. I was asked a couple questions. I was asked if xx number of dollars sounded good. I was asked to take an assessment. The assessment was similar to an SAT. After the first assessment I got the same (or at least very similar) assessment by web camera. In the end I got rejected. My SAT score in high school was very good but I probably messed up some of the questions on the test because I'm not used to quickly calculating things in my head and don't have as many vocabulary words memorized off the top of my head as I once did. They also may have been looking for a certain score improvement rather than a good score on the test. I probably did not improve my score because I didn't bother studying for the second assessment. Overall I thought this interview was a little unprofessional compared with interviews at other companies and maybe this is just because they are still a newly formed company. It sounds like they are a good company to work for once you get in the door but I think their interview process is in need of an overhaul. For instance, I think a coding test would have been a better use of time. Although, this company seems to be doing well right now so what do I know. One last thing I'll say: Even after adjusting up for cost of living, their offer was about 35% below my next lowest offer. I say this so that other people interviewing with this company don't feel bad about getting rejected.
