I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Greystar
Interview
I had 2, hour long, phone interviews with the director which went great.
Greystar invited me to fly out to their office for the next phase of interviews. I arrived on site at 8:00 where I was given a tour of the office. I was provided an itinerary which was a full day of interviews with various departments, a team lunch, etc.
My first interview was with what would be my peers, the youngest of which was 17 years my senior.
We met for a total of 20 minutes of what was scheduled for an hour. In total, I was asked only 2 questions, both required me to defend what they called a very limited resume. The remaining 10 minutes was a lecture from the eldest of the 3 employees about how this role was a career ending role, not a career building role.
I then was left in the conference room alone for an hour and 20 minutes until the director returned to inform me that I was not a fit and they would be canceling the rest of the interview.
The director did reach back out a few hours later to offer me a lower position with Greystar.
It was bizarre to say the least. By far the most hostile and unprofessional interview experience in my life.
