Interview
I applied online and received an invitation for a phone from the recruiter a day later. She and I had a very pleasant conversation and she scheduled me for the next step- a phone interview with a manager the following Friday.
Friday comes, and a whole four minutes before the interview was supposed to start with the manager, the recruiter reached out and said the manager had been pulled into a last minute meeting. No worries, we rescheduled for the following Tuesday for 10AM. The recruiter told me she would send a calendar invite once the manager confirms.
So Tuesday rolls around and still no confirmation, so I reached out the the recruiter and ask if we are confirmed for 10AM, and she responds that no, the manager is actually available at 10:30AM instead, and that once again she would send an invite once the manager confirms.
I didn't receive a confirmation for the (now third) rescheduled interview until an hour before it was set to start, which by that point I had already made other commitments.
A company that doesn't respect people's time is not a company I am interested in working for.
The interview was just a 30-minute phone call very basic and standard. I didn't receive a second round which is fine, I didn't have the right qualifications. However, the woman who I spoke with clearly had no idea what she was talking about or what the company does. I asked her to explain in her own words how the technology works and she couldn't even coherently explain to me. So over the weekend, I was complaining to my friend in tech about the interview and how little she knew and turns out he had interviewed for a similar role with the same woman the week before. His experience was the same. He asked her about the clients and she couldn't name once. It's sad she's their first line of defense.

Interview
The interview process was standard- there was 1 phone call with a hiring manager at their NY headquarters. At the end of the call I was invited to interview onsite with 3 different people: 2 AMs and the AM team manager over video call.
Everyone was very friendly and my interview seemed to go well. The questions were normal interview questions and they took the time to thoroughly go over the role and responsibilities. The communication with the hiring managers was very prompt and consistent up until after my onsite interview. Communication completely dropped off following my interview. I followed up once right after and then again a little over a week later and heard nothing back. The position is now listed as "closed" on my Jobvite profile.
The entire process was smooth and pleasant but to leave candidates hanging after their interview is disappointing. Please notify candidates if they will not be receiving an offer as this can impact their job search if they are waiting to hear from you.
