The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Groupon (Chicago, IL) in Feb 2012
Interview
Phone interview went very smoothly. I was invited for an on-site interview and that is where things became quite interesting. The environment seems to be like a college social hour where everyone is really concerned with what they look like and what everyone will think of them. It is hard to imagine where people can find the energy to help the company thrive where there was little work that I saw being done (on facebook, etc., talking with others, etc.) What I came to learn in my interview is that work that is done, is done by a few people who admittedly sleep under their desks. My interviewer came in with huge bags under his eyes and in other words told me that I would be overworked and underpaid. He was quick to get on his soapbox about how exciting it is to be a part of a starting company and if it implodes, he is happy to have taken the chance. Not the greatest thing to hear from someone who is supposed to be selling you on the company.
I met with many people at Groupon, overall the team had me come in to 7 interviews and then told me I didn't have the qualifications they were looking for.

Question 1
They asked me technical questions about excel in one interview, and in the rest of the interviews the questions were all regular by the book behavioral questions.
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Groupon (Dubai) in Jun 2019
Interview
they ask you to prepare a 5 minutes presentation. They also ask you to show few excel pivot tables and they will ask you to manipulate the data using lookup and other functions
Had a great phone screen and was told it would be worthwhile to set up a second screen with the actual manager. One week later no response, so I reach out to follow up on next steps. It's been over a month and the recruiter never had the decency to respond at all. Very unprofessional hiring practices.
