I interviewed at Groupon (Chicago, IL) in Mar 2014
Interview
Submitted application online- currently in the beginning stages- First phone Interview was yesterday. Took about 40 minutes- ALOT of questions
Interview seemed very organized. Started with questions about my previous roles. Simple questions like: Why Groupon? Why Sales? Why do you think you succeeded in your previous roles? Something you could improve on, What are you looking for in your position i.e. what is important to you?
Then the recruiter went more in depth into the role, asked many questions I was not expecting for the first interview. The questions tested my knowledge about groupon and sales- I think to really screen to see if I know how to sell. They were'nt hard questions, but just caught me off guard how many he asked.
Lastly, he asked if I had any questions.

I applied online. I interviewed at Groupon (Chicago, IL)
Interview
When I arrived it was at least 7 other people in the lobby waiting to be interviewed as well. When it was my turn my name was card and I was led to the interview room. I interviewed with a woman and then with a man. The interview lasted around 45 minutes. I received a call back but I wasn't able to answer when the lady called and I was never able to reach her afterwards so I just assumed I didn't get offered the position.
Phone and Skype combo. Seemed rushed and wrote me off quickly without diving deeper. Seemed like they wanted a direct connection with the work I'm doing at my current employer, but the industry and circumstances are different. They asked a lot of questions about handling stress, constant change, and working within a fast-paced team environment.
