I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Grubhub (New York, NY) in Aug 2017
Interview
The interview process was properly defined by the HR where a prescreen via phone happened with a few tech questions followed by a 4 hour onsite process. I was already warned if I didn't do well in the first couple of hours, the interview would be aborted and you would be told to avoid wasting everyone's time.
Their HR was quick to revert with the offer details and not too much haggling since they had taken my comp details and made me an appropriate offer. They didn't allow room for negotiations but I was ok with that.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Grubhub (Tel Aviv) in Jun 2024
Interview
I applied to Grubhub development center in Israel through a referral. The recruiter was based in the USA but the position is in Israel, which caused some communication issues. The phone screening was double booked and the recruiter was 15 minutes late to it. Afterwards, we continued to a technical interview with one of the team leads in Israel which was very good. We moved to 2 back to back code interviews with engineers from the USA. One on React and one on data structures. The final interview was another 2 back to back interviews. One design interview and the other a personality interview with the director in Israel which seemed to be going well but then I waited for a week just to find out they sent me a rejection email that never found its way to my inbox.
