After submitting an application, there was a phone screening and then an "open house." The open house consisted of a group informational meeting and then individual interviews.
GrubHub did a great job keeping their applicants as informed as they could. It was also very helpful to spend time with their current employees.

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Grubhub (Chicago, IL) in Oct 2018
Interview
Went to a hiring event at GrubHub Corporate headquarters in downtown Chicago. Whole process took about 2 - 3 hours total. It was mostly waiting and then a 15 minute interview with a low level HR representative.
Heard nothing for about 4 weeks. Then got a call asking me if I was still interested in the position. I told her ABSOLUTLY YES! She told me that i would hear back within a week. Got and offer 3 days later and accepted.

Question 1
Tell me a time that you dealt with and angry customer and how did you handle it?
If you got an interview you have the job. They honestly wouldn't bother calling you in if your resume wasn't matching the role description. Every person I seen come through here for an interview was in training the next week.
Welp, anyway. I had a very phone interview, they then called me in to conduct a in person interview. I was interviewed by two managers. The questions were customer service related questions. They also asked what was my favorite food. I said tacos. They laughed and walked me to the elevator and told me to expect a call in a week. I was offered the job two days later.
