I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Grubhub (Chicago, IL) in Jan 2020
Interview
The entire interview process went incredibly well. I've been through a great deal of interviews throughout my career and I can honestly say Grubhub knows what they're doing. The recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn. We set up an introductory phone call to learn about the position. A few days later, we scheduled a phone interview with my soon-to-be manager. A few days after that (maybe 4-business days), I was brought in for in-person interviews. Not going to sugar-coat it ... the in-person interviews were intense. I met with 7 people in the span of 4 hours. The team that interviewed me was great. They asked me relevant questions about my background and gave relevant detail about what I should expect from the role. There were no "explain a time when you had to deal with a difficult situation"-type questions. Everything was very applicable and very real. It honestly made me feel like I was already part of the team. I will say, meeting with 7 people in 4 hours was exhausting. That said, I got through it. And the day after, the recruiter reached back out to me to give me feedback on the interview and let me know timing for when a decision was to be made. It was about 3 more days until I got the offer, and then 2 more days until they needed my acceptance. Overall, the process took about 4-5 weeks. But Grubhub did a great job keeping me up-to-date on where I stood the entire time and kept tabs on my interest level. 10/10 recruiting process!
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Grubhub (Chicago, IL) in Sep 2019
Interview
The process went smoothly, as I always felt connected with where I was within the interview process. I spoke with a recruiter for an initial screening, had a video interview with one of the managers, then came for an in-person interview where I had 5 different rounds with individuals of all different levels/departments that I would be working with. The in-person interview lasted around 3 hours. The recruiter was very transparent throughout the process.
